For 15 years, I built a senior career in HR management and recruitment across the Middle East. I have worked with multinational organisations and supported the significant growth of a leading strategy consulting firm. I have reviewed thousands of CVs, interviewed countless candidates, and facilitated the talent and promotion conversations that shape professional lives.
I know what happens after the interview. I know how candidates and employees are discussed when they are not in the room. I understand why excellent performance does not always translate to visibility or reward.
The personal reality of burnout and reinvention.
I also know what it feels like to be successful on paper while running on empty. For years, I pushed hard, adapted, and delivered, until my body started sending signals I could no longer ignore, and the Sunday dread became overwhelming.
My career path has not been a straight, predictable line. Over my 20-year career, I have worked in administration and customer service, flown as international cabin crew, and trained as a professional makeup artist. During my HR career, I also trained as a yoga teacher. As a mother of two, I eventually reached a point where I had to recover from burnout and completely redefine what ambition, success, and fulfilment meant for me.
